Vibration Monitoring for Infrastructure Works in the Hurfeish Local Council – Miflasei HaGalil

Hurfeish

Miflasei HaGlil

For an infrastructure project in the Hurfeish Local Council, vibration monitoring and ground motion measurements were carried out during excavation works using an excavator equipped with a hydraulic breaker. The investigation included the deployment of three-component seismometers at various distances from the vibration source, measurement of peak particle velocity (PPV), analysis of vibration attenuation with distance, and comparison of the results with the requirements of DIN 4150 and the Israeli Standard for dynamic loading. The findings were used to establish minimum safe setback distances from existing structures and to support vibration risk management throughout construction activities in the surrounding built environment.
